PETER QEKO JERE (PhD student-UNIVERSITY OF FORT HARE)

THANK YOU LORD!!
What you see here is the fruits of hard work and sleepless time at the University of Fort Hare where I graduated my Master of Theology degree majoring in Systematic Theology and Church History. I will never forget this experience because it was no so easy to go through the hands of Prof. David Williams and his Prof's friends from other South African Universities who supervised my Thesis. By the way this was a Masters degree by Thesis and not course work. I thank God because He was there each time I needed his help. God demonstrated that He is God the whole time I was at Fort Hare (http://www.ufh.ac.za/.
My MA was basically about the role of the Church and State in solving poverty, tribalism and corruption in a democratic society and was the case of Malawi.
However this time around, I look forward to the time when I shall graduate my Doctoral degree in Theology. I cant wait to have this degree though its still tough going because there is just a lot of work to do. I need to finish this research and begin to write chapters until I finish this whole project. I know that God shall be with me and that the same God who enabled me finish and graduate my MA is the same God who will make this whole thing possible. I know and believe that I have to do this no matter what because I was born to be the head and not the tail.
Its my prayer that God shall see me through and that I SHALL HAVE THIS DONE IN JESUS NAME AND NO DEVIL IN HELL WILL EVER DISTURB ME OR PLAY GAMES WITH ME BECAUSE HE WHO IS IN ME IS GREATER THAN THE ONE IN THE WORLD.
THANK YOU GOD FOR BEING FAITHFUL TO ME

QEKO'S BRIEF ACCOUNT

IGAMA LAMI UQEKO

He is the son of Bowman and Nancy Mabilabo Jere . He is from Mzimba District in Traditional Authority MABILABO. He is the grandson of ARAM MABILABO QEKO JERE and a Great Grand Son of Inkosi Mabilabo JERE the First who was the direct son of Zwangendaba. By the way you should know that Zwangendaba had these sons who are currently the AMAKHOSIs ruling in Northern Malawi and Eastern Zambia:Mpezeni, M'mbelwa, Mtwalo, Mabilabo, Mzukuzuku, Mpherembe, Mzikuola and Chindi.
QEKO is a Born Again Christian who loves the Lord and has a dream for Malawian Christianity and the propagation of the gospel. He has been doing Theology since 1994 and this time around he is doing his PhD in Systematic Theology and Church History at the University of Fort Hare in South Africa. He already did his Master of Theology in the same field at the same university and personally graduated in 2004. He plan to finish this program before 2010 from where he shall embark on his huge mission of lecturing, writing, publishing and preaching the gospel.
Now why should one do Theology? What kind of theology is this? This is Trinitarian Theology and ofcourse he is a Trinitarian Theology because in all what he writes and study, the Trinity is the main area of focus. He has done this at Fort Hare where he used Trinitarian life as the only available model in problem solving. This include perichoresis, circumisseccesion and circumiccession plus the immanent and economic trinity. You see he believes in the Trinity and will advocate the Trinity, FATHER, SON AND THE HOLY GHOST!!!

GOD BLESS YOU

QEKO THE MAN: BA, BA(Th) Hons; M.Th (Fort Hare), PhD (Candi-Fort Hare),

I HAVE A DREAM

Ladies and gentlemen listen to me, " I have dream that one day I will become the greatest preacher of the gospel. I also see myself becoming a Prof. of Theology and particularily a great Systematic Theology and Church History Prof. I mean a well qualified Prof of Systematic Theology and Church History. I dream of being a Big University lecturing, writing and publishing theological books addressing various issues affecting our society today. You see, writing is my passion and soon I will realise my dream and shall publish mainly when I finish my doctoral studies at the University of Fort Hare in South Africa.
In my dream also I see a Master piece in Church History (in context) written and published. This is where we shall compile the historical account of all the churches in the country. I want Malawi to have its own main Church History book that Universities and Colleges could be using. This is because as of now we dont have any book of that nature. I also see in the future a Theological book written covering Systematic Theology issues in our context.
I should not forget this: I have a major dream of being a great husband, father because God has called me into this ministry. Thus Qeko will be the kind of a husband who shall love his family and do everything under his power to not only provide but be available all the time. You see family is the number one ministry for all men. We are called to be husbands and fathers before we become Bishops, Apostles etc. So I will make sure I take care of things in my house first before I stand there preaching the gospel.
About the University of Fort Hare let me tell you this: This University was born in 1916 about 90 years ago and is one such a great school of learning wich has graduated many great african leaders and scholas like ; comrade Nelson Mandela, Bob Robert Mugabe, Thabo Mbeki, Oliver Tambo, Orton Chirwa, Chipembere and many who are all over the world. Check Fort Hare on http://www.ufh.ac.za/ and there you will see what am talking about.Fort Hare is not a joke but its a big and real thing.

CHRISTIAN STAND:

I got born again on the 2nd February 1992 that wonderful morning when brother Victor Kaunda preached the gospel during the Scom joint meeting at Livingstonia Secondary School. Since 1992, my life has not been the same because I have seen the hand of God working wonders in a very uncomprehendable way. God has been faithful to me and I just mean what I am saying here. And let me just explain a little bit of this here:

It was the Lord who saw me through from 1994-1998 when i was at the African Bible College in Lilongwe, Malawi persuing the Bachelor of Art Degree in biblical studies. While at this College, God provided abundantly and His hand was upon me all the four years. It was at ABC that I learnt to pray to God working up early in the morning just to pray. I could go up mount Zion (football field) to pray. Friends included Yobe Lungu, Enock Mwasuluka from Tanzania, Wilfred Ngalawa, Chakuchanya Harawa, Madalitso Mukiwa, Thembi, Alice Munde, Yapatula, Sara Banda and Elizabeth Lisuntha Banda, Limbikan kamlongera, Chaliwa Katola, Chakakala to mention but a few.

From ABC and after graduation, God opened up the way as i joined the government as a secondary school teacher at SOS Secondary School in Lilongwe from 1998-2000.As this was not enough, 2000 I left for Cape Town to study my BA (Th) Hons with the University of Putchesftroom. I graduated and passed this with 72% and this was all God. He provided for me tremendously and I saw His hand. Hey in Cape Town I had great friends in my BA Hons class including: Gedion and Mwai Manda with their great chidren (christopher and uchizi) Rev. Paterson Nyirenda, Charles Tembo, Vumani Magezi Niel Henry, my lecturer Dr. Pete Smuts, Dr. Williams, Gail Edwards to mention but a few.

The Lord took me to THE UNIVERSITY OF FORT HARE (http://www.ufh.ac.za/) where I went to study my Master of Art in Theology majoring in Systematic Theology and Church History. At Fort Hare God was with me and I saw His hand. At Fort Hare, life was supper because of my place of prayer, Mount Zion. This is where I could go anytime to pray. I had great friends including, Andrew maere, Alex Maulana, James Sande, Che mtipela, Che Songola, che kapuma, Che Chilapula, Tebogo, Andile to mention but a few.

It was the Lord who saw me again that since Fort Hare graduation, the Lord has been so good to me.As am writing this, the same God who saw me through all these years has open up another window that this time am doing my Doctoral studies with the same university and I hope to graduate in two years to come. People God is good and I just know what I am talking about because I have seen His mighty hand on me.
In fact my PhD Thesis tittle is:
CHURCH AND STATE: A comprative theological study of the ministry of the church in social, political and economic decay; the case of Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabw.

After i graduate, I look forward to serving Him as a lecturer with an aim of writing and publishing so that one day i should be a Prof. and a think tank of Theology

The one thing about me is that God saved me on the 2nd of February 1992 that morning at Livingstonia secondary school when brother victor Kaunda preached the gospel on Isaiah 59:1-10 and I gave my life to the Lord. I bacame a born again and christ blood washed me and made me whole. I became a new washed in his precious blood. All the old passed away and behold!! the new came into my life.

At Livingstonia, I had friends like, Woneka Manda, John Mlotha, Jacquilline Kumwenda, Jane Kaunda, Yimale Kagozi, Suzgo Mzumara Wezzi Mhango, Janet Jere, Charles Silungwe, Nelson Kajawa to mention but a few and with great teachers as Mr & Mrs Ziba, Mr. Aubren Ndovi (RIP)

Since 1992, The lord has been too good to me and I mean the Lord has been good because i have seen His hand working wonders. He has lifted me up and given me more than I ever needed. The Lord has moved me from place A to place X in a very miculaous way.

From 1994 after Livingstonia Secondary School , I went to African Bible College to persue the Bachelor of Art in biblical Studies. At ABC, I learned to pray to God and I developed a tradition of prayer as I could wake up early in the morning going to Mount Zion to pray. Mount Zion was our battle field on campus (football field nex to the gym). I and some friend could spend time there seeking the Lord's hand and intervention. I mean Wilfed Ngalawa, James Kalikwembe to mention but a few.

The one thing that God did was that I never complained about finances because the lord provided them all. I never complained about anything and the Lord was just too good. From day one the Lord was there for me until I graduated in 1998.

Great friends at the African Bible College included the following: Alice & Stell Munde, Yapatula Nyirenda, Elizabeth Lisuntha Banda, Sara Banda, Chakuchanya Harawa, Madalitso and Charles Mukiwa, Manuel K. Allen Shawa, Yobe Lungu, Wilfred Ngalawa, James Kalikwembe and the whole class of 1998.

From ABC I joined government as a seondary school teacher at SOS secondary School in 1998 where I taught for two years before I left for Cape Town in 2000 for my Postgraduate studies. I left Malawi for my Honours degree in Cape Town where I pursued my studies at the University of Putchesftroom. I stayed at the Bible Institute of South Africa studying under the the University of Putchesftroom. I stayed at kalk bay. In 2001, I graduated my Hons and went to the University of Fort Hare for my Masters of Theology particularily majoring in Systematic Theology and Church History.

I wrote a 267 paged the thesis titled:

church and democracy: a theological reflection of the ministry of the church in social and political and economic decay within a democratic states : the Case of Malawi.

I graduated with a good credit and went back to Malawi where I joined the Mzuzu University where I lectured Systematic Theolgy and church History courses and others including the following:

Systematic Theology
Church History
History of Christian Thought
Pneumatology & Eccessiology
Old Testament Prophet
Major World Religions

As of now, am full time with the University of Fort Hare doing my PhD in Systematic Theology and Church History and I hope to finish this in two years time. After my graduation, I hope to write and publish so that one day and before 2014, I should become a Prof and a think tank of theology in Malawi.

GOD BLESS YOU

He who find a wife find a good thing and obtain favour from the Lord!. Did you just hear this???. For a long time I have read this part of scripture but could not just get what this meant all together.

After reading it thoroughly well, I now really get what this mean. It just mean that a wife is the only good thing to haver walked on this planet is someone who is a 'wife" I mean a wife and not any other. Men can have money and everything but a wife surpasses them all because she is that good thing as far as the bible is concern. Now let me tell you why the woman or wife you have is regarded as a goood thing. Its because there is a special amount of favour that God bestows upon you the moment you have her as a wife. God has placed in special favour that begin to flow in your life the moment you have her as your own These favour are very special only for you just because you have decided to have her as your wife. No any favour can match this kind of favour that God gives the moment you have her as your own.

This explains why many men arent all that blessed single as they are because the floodgates of divine marital favour only begins to flow when the two are joined together as one.
So those of you are wives, know that you are special because through you, men begin to receive special favour from the Lord. You are blessed because you have the key to God's special favour for men. So are you a wife? or prospective wife? just know that you are blessed because somebody will begin to receive divine promised favour from above.so Get blessed in Jesus name!!!

DO MALAWIANS NEED MULUZI THIS TIME???

BINGU THE GREAT MAN OF MALAWI

On the ground things are getting so much hot politically with the declaration that Muluzi made weeks ago that he will stand again during the 2009 presidential elections. Malawians have expressed their feelings and things are happening and we really do not know that will happen to this nation by 2009. We are not saying that zinthu zivuta but that this Muluzi man is in deep darkness because those around him are cheating him day in and day out. They have managed to blind him with very sophisticated lies such that Muluzi unfortunately thinks he is popular while in actual sense he is a very useless fellow in our politics.

Looking into those close to him, one sees s a crop of disgrunted and hopeless fellows who actually have no tangable profession and to them politics is their way of earning bread. Ofcourse there are some with good profession though still are in this darkness that they dont really know what they are doing. Thus someone once said that the problem in our politics is that we have many unprofessional people playing the game and at the same time, we also have those with profession pretending as if they are bruts. They have become a shame in the professional world.
Looking into the coming election, we just see that Muluzi is wasting him time money and those around him would want to make him poor and eat all his money. Muluzi and those around him knows that Bingu will win the coming election. All Malawians knows that there is just no way Bingu can fail because iyeyo ndi MTHESA NJALA and has turned around the Malawi's economic ship which was sinking. Malawians knows that we are now free from the notorious Young Democrat who thought they were a government on its own. We have maize and food and Malawians can live as human beings again. During the past ten years, Malawians were not human beings because their human image was reduced to that of a mere object hence they could be beaten and demonised. someone is asking why should the security people stop Muluzi in Mulanje? Will Muluzi be another Shangirai? Ladie and Gentlemen, listen to me on this one:

If I was the president myself, there was no way I could have allowed someone who is not a president at all to hold his rally just nearby whilst am having my own. Am not supporting what the security people did in Mulanje but am just trying to be true. You see Muluzi wants to play games with government and he forgets all what they used to doing when they were in power. Its unfortunate that people forgets things so easily. Muluzi should have gone to Lilongwe or Mzuzu while Bingu hold his in Blantyre and not the two of them just nearby. Allowing the two close like that could have disturbed the security since Bingu is the Head of State.

Somebody was asking will this be another Shangirai, My answer is noooo!!. Those who hate Bob are the kind of people who suffer from a very serous intellectual sickness such that they just do not know the liberation history of Zimbabwe. Unless you understand the history of a particular nation you will not understand issues happening on the ground. Jounarlists who write negatively about zimbabwe need to go back to schools so that they learn what actually what they guys in Zimbabwe went through to have the freedom they have today. As for Shangirai, he is a joke becuase he seems not to know that zimbabweans fought so much hard to have their freedom. I mean total freedom from colonial adminstration. So amenewa azingomenyedwatu basi because chawo palibe.
anyway lets go back to Muluzi, he is wasting his time and he better go back to Kapoloma and tire so that alandire ulemu wawo onse.
