MDIMA UKULU WABENEKELERA WENA MALAWI

A huge dark cloud has fallen over the land and the people of Malawi because it was announced yesterday (28/5/07) by the State House that our beloved first lady of the land, Mama Ethel Muthalika has gone to be with the Lord. I overheard a young lady saying, “ she cant just die now and this cant just be true?”. When I was sharing this news to some friends they said, “She was too good with a wonderful loving motherly heart and the nation can not just afford to miss her serveces!.
By and large majority of Malawians are shocked and sad that Mama Ethel Muthalika is gone. This news is heart breaking, sobering and sad because Malawi as a nation will live without a mother. The land of malawi will live without the very pillar and dziko lakhala umasiye. We don’t know how this nation will function without a mother. A mother is the very backbone and life of every home because opanda mai zinthu pakhomo sizingayende. A house is beautiful when a Mother is there and without her, it stops to exisit hence, this death our first lady is uncomprehendable to many.
We are so much sad that she is gone because Madam Ethel Mthalika was the very engine in the live of our President. She was behind every success that we see in the life of our President and our country respectively. If we talk of debt cancellation and others, it because of her great effort in being the right hand of our President in playing that advisory role all the time as a wife,mother and first lady.She was behind all the great achievements that our President attained even before he becaome the President of this nation. We believe that women are crucial and are behind the success of every man.
Having said this therefore, MAY HER SOUL REST IN ETERNAL PEACE!!
