THERE IS A BLESSING BEHIND EVERY STEP OF FAITH YOU TAKE

A GREAT BIBLICAL PRINCIPLE

Many times we go through very difficult times in this world. Sometimes its like things are not working at all and end up having many unanswered questions on top of our heads. We even wonder if our situations will ever change for the better.

While things are like this, we need to realize and know that there is God in heaven and should not despair in all we do because He who is in us is greater than the one in the world. On the Calvary’s cross, Jesus defeated and destroyed all works of darkness and gave us the victory. You see, Jesus Christ shade His blood on the cross to save you and I and this whole exercise was not in vain. He died on that cross because we are precious before Him and He came to reconcile lost humanity to God himself.

What you are going through at the moment should not be a problem and not even give you a heart attack because this situation of yours is too small compared to the love and work that Christ did on that cross. You need to know that we have this God who intervenes in the lives of His people. He may delay or may intervene right away all depending on His divine will and purposes.

While you may think that your situation is so much an issue today or this week or even this year, you also need to know that you are not the first person in this world to have gone through such times. We have people even in the Holy bible who went through hard times but still stood and trusted God. They went through difficult times but still came out of their situations victoriously.

For instance, in the book of Exodus 14:13-22, we have an account of God’s children in Egypt where they lived in pain under a very notorious autocratic rule of Pharaoh. They lived in that captivity for a long time such that a nation was born right there. Though they lived in this hardship, the bible says that time came when God in heaven heard the cries of His people in Egypt and came down to redeem and save them. Thus we have Moses and Aaron whom the Lord used to have these people redeemed from this captivity and slavery. Now after the death of the first born in Egypt, the nation of Egypt of about six million or more were on their way to the promised land and came arrived at the edge of the Red Sea. They wondered how is the world they were to cross to the other side?

Red Sea encounter was another huge problem because as human beings they knew that there was no way in the world they could cross to the other side hence the bible say that they began to question Moses’s intention of bringing them out of Egypt. Though they had many questions, the Lord remained faithful to His people by opening the way where there was no way (nkosiyami!!). I mean this God we serve opened up the way for His people just to demonstrate to them that He is God.

This should remind you and I that there is nothing that will stop God from doing likewise in our lives today. This God is far more able to do mighty things in our lives today.

What we think can not done, the Lord is able to perform them. What we feel is hard, the Lord is able to make it simple for us. God will remain faithful to his word for the sake of HIS WONDERFUL HOLY NAME. This God will open up a way and no devil in hell will ever have power over your life. The good thing with God is that when He begins a process, no-one stops Him.

In addition to the Exodus issue, there is something in the book of Daniel for you and I to read through. This is from Daniel 6:1-28. Here we have Daniel in the Lion Den about to be made food for the many lions. For some of us who have seen Lions, we know what these animals are capable of doing. A lion is a Lion and very dangerous animals. Now Daniel was put in this den full of lions to punish him for obeying His God. For Daniel it was better to die than to obey the Kings order. Now the bible says that as Daniel was in the Lion’s den, those Lions didn’t kill him. The bible says that the Lord came in the Lion’s den and shut the mouth of all the Lions and he came out of that den alive and safe. What you need to know is that the Lord SHUT THE MOUTH OF THE LIONS and they didn’t kill him.

As for me, this means that no situation in this world will fail God. He works wonders and I mean He just is able to do wonderful things for His people. God came in the midst of Daniels situation in that Lion’s den and things happened. I mean things begin to happen when God is come in a place and someone’s life. When God comes down, no devils and demons will play any game with you.

As this was not enough, in the same book of Daniel 3:16-27, we have the event concerning Shadreck, Mesheck and Abedenigo who also demonstrated their strong stand in the Lord by refusing to follow what the king directed. These guys made a decision to obey the only one true God of heaven and earth and nobody else. They were thrown into the Burning furnace hoping to be burned alive. Now instead of these three guys to get burnt and die, nothing happened to them. God almighty came from heaven and got involved into what was happening inside the furnace. That fire didn’t burn them and nothing happened. Imagine this fire didn’t burn them. Now what kind of fire was this? What happened to the power because the fire we know could have consumed and killed them.

People of God, don’t forget that this fire didn’t burn them because God was involved. You see when God is involved, wonderful things happens. I mean the uncomprehendable things take place. Now why did God get involved in the lives of these guys? The almighty involved because of their faithfulness to Him. These men were faithful and were not moved but what the world was saying. They cared less about what was happening around them but cared more about God and God alone. Therefore, we need to be like Daniel, Shadreck, Mesheck and Abedenigo by demonstrating our faithfulness to God. We need to move our first step of faith and the Lord will do the rest.

As for me, let me tell you that there have been situations in my life when I have taken steps of faith and wonderful things have happened. God needs you and me to demonstrate our faith. It is faith that made these guys stay alive. They put their faith in action which we as God’s children need to do all the time. So finally could you please take your step of faith now and you will not regret it. Step of faith give birth to a blessing for your life. In other words, there is a blessing behind every step of faith that we take. So try it now IN JESUS NAME!
